Dan, this email is terrible long and a phone call could have avoiding all and misunderstandings.
However, as much as it seems that this was delivered very much how we did not intend it, I have read your response and now assumptions/ opinions of everyone.
Best of luck in your career. Sent via "that mobile thing that is super annoying"

Eva,
My name is Dan Long, from Airaid Records. On June 13th, I wrote you to ask for your assistance in getting us on the September 2nd bill with The Reign Of Kindo at Ottobar in Baltimore. Your short response to me was "Please reach out to the promoter for this". So, we did, and on June 16th, we were added to the bill. Now on August 27th (six days before the show), we received the e-mail below, stating that you and the Reign Of Kindo camp have asked for our band El Sledge (+) to be removed from the bill, citing musical differences. This move is highly unprofessional, not to mention, very offensive. El Sledge (+) is a hard-working, up-and-coming band in Baltimore. For a "touring" band from New York to come down to our city and act like this, is a joke. We were asked, as well as the other opening bands, to sell a minimum of 30 tickets, at the request of The Reign Of Kindo, because TROK could not provide enough draw themselves, for their own CD Release Party. We have sold all of our tickets, and now we are stuck with the responsibility of refunding all 30 tickets. These tickets represent 30 people who would have never gone to see TROK, 30 people who were willing to pay money to contribute to TROK. We will do our best to assure that not one of those 30 attend this show. In addition to the 30 people who paid for tickets, we have confirmation from two local publications, who were coming out to review the show. Both publications have been notified of this situation, and will no longer be attending the show. It is very disappointing that there are agents, like yourself, and bands, like TROK, out there pulling these moves. For a show to be booked for over two months, and neither the band, or agent know who is playing on the bill is amateur. I even reached out to Steve Padin in June to help get on this bill, and he responded last week that the bill was filled. Yes, it was filled, but we had gotten ourselves on it. How does a band not know who they're playing with? Airaid Records has also done extensive promoting for this show. Posting fliers, web invites, MySpace/Facebook/Reverbnation invites, etc. TROK couldn't even find the time to post the show on their own website. I hope you will think about the people and bands you're effecting the next time a stunt like this is pulled. Airaid Records and El Sledge (+) will never again support or assist TROK, any CandyRat artist, and anyone from or working with Fata Booking.
Thank you,
Dan Long Airaid Records dan@airaidrecords.com 443-618-4477 airaidrecords.com

Hey guys. I'm just now getting info from TROK's agent...for whatever reason she didn't check who we had booked on the show as locals til now even though this show has been booked for months. She now just wants TROK & the other 2 bands that are on the bill. She feels that WWCV & El Sledge don't make sense musically & is telling us we have to take you guys off the show. I'm really really sorry...it's out of our hands. I'm hoping we can make it up to you guys somehow in the future.
Again, we're really sorry & pretty pissed at the agent.

hey guys.
just wanted to write a quick apology/explanation/note with where we were coming from, in hopes that you'd at least see our view and ideally not take this whole thing too personally. we were going through the shows and it was brought up that two of the bands on the baltimore show were heavy/scream bands (not to generalize...i listened to you guys, you definitely have a unique twist on these elements going on). however, in the past, many of our fans have often expressed that coming to see a show we're headlining, and having a louder, heavy, rocking band that sounds nothing like us playing before us, never seemed to make sense to them. to the point where they didn't enjoy it. not everybody, of course, but that seemed to be the majority. before we were even putting together these shows, we updated our contract to have promoters put bands that are somewhat similar to our sound, for the sake of those bands and our fans. (we've seen it at our shows... typically, a heavier sounding band with any sort of screaming element doesn't end up going over well with most of who comes out to see us anyways).
i wanted to apologize to you guys...i'm sorry that it got to this point at all, especially this late in the game. it is 100 percent absolutely nothing personal to you guys at all. we sincerely wish nothing but the best for el sledge...and for what we call victory for that matter. it felt uncharacteristically 'asshole-ish' of us to do this, but we are very much trying to maintain what we want our headlining shows to be, and again, even before we put these shows together, from our experiences touring last year, putting hardcore or intense heavy rock bands on our bill just never seemed to work well. i'll keep an eye open for any of our friends coming through baltimore that you guys would be able to hop on with... best of luck, and i'm sorry again guys.
