artist: Pandas
web address: www.pandasdestroy.com
contact: contact@pandasdestroy.com
bio: It’s like punk, but with more musicianship. Maybe it’s actually prog, but prog that never went to Berklee. Then again, maybe it’s metal, but without all the spiky leather. Or perhaps it’s hardcore, but more Greg Ginn and less Jamey Jasta.
Regardless of all that, it’s fast, loud, techy, geeky, and strange.
Imagine a guitar-playing truck from the future colliding with a rainbow-powered robot. Imagine that their relationship is complex and murky. Imagine that the preserved corpse of Lenin is driving the truck, reanimated by the future ghost of Wil Wheaton. Imagine that the robot was built to recently-discovered blueprints bearing the signature “J. Kirby.” Pandas sound nothing like that, but it would be great if they did.
Pandas are based primarily in Lancaster PA, where snack foods are made, and the Amish get away with things that normal people would be thrown in jail for, by dint of the tourist trade.
Personnel: Jordan Hill – Drums (a-flam-flam blaaaaaaaassssst) Conor McCann- Left Guitar (joogady joogady) Mike Bull – Bass (bloog bloog blaaaagghh) Greg Park – Right Guitar (plinkity jank jank) Col Norris – Vocals (skree skree gragggg)

artist: The Matrimonials
web address: www.myspace.com/thematrimonials
contact: thematrimonialsmusic@gmail.com
bio:
The Matrimonials are a three piece rock band from Baltimore, Maryland. The boys of the Matrimonials are all extremely well-read, industrious, and obviously Harvard material. The only reason why they didn’t go ivy league is the chromosomal disorder they all share, in which they would much rather drink and play loud pop music than read Ayn Rand and wax philosophical to girls who don’t give it up easily. The Matrimonials’ lyrics and music reflect this: a swirling lifestyle of death clearly indicative of an adolescence spent reading post-WWII American literature. Or it could all be an excuse to play loudly and hate their peers.
At this moment, the Matrimonials are watching the Real Housewives of New Jersey, trying their hardest not to give up or take mercury thermometer shots. In the wrinkled cleavage of one scantily clad mother, the Matrimonials have a mutual vision, of bringing their music as a message of salvation. Setting forth to tackle this mighty task, the boys realize that they have nothing to say, and thus, they take the mercury shot.
Or perhaps this biography is evidence that the Matrimonials do have a message? What sociopaths would send a biography describing a lifestyle of penile detachment and wildlife prostitution? Even stranger, what maniacs would send a biography saying that they described those things, but, in fact, did not? It makes one think, where can I catch the next episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey?

artist: MySummer
web address: www.myspace.com/mysummer
contact: mysummer@mysummer.org
bio:
My Summer is a rock and roll act from New York. The band consists of three members: Mike, 26, who plays guitar, sings, and keyboards, Magic,
24, who plays Bass, and Joey, 26, who plays the drums. Though the band only came to be in 2005, all members were involved in previous bands
for many years before coming together for the cause of My Summer. Serious about the music, but usually found in the parking lot having a catch,
these guys are what rock and roll should be. Loud, fun music, and loud, fun times. An interesting aspect of their music is the incorporation of
keyboard loops, played by Mike, into their live show. All keyboard parts are played to a metronome, so the tightness of the act is really displayed
within their ability to be spot on to the loops. If they are coming to your town, free up a couch or two because you're going to have a blast at the
show, and have a blast afterwards hanging out with these guys.

artist: OHO
web address: www.ohomusic.com
contact: garbotzo@yahoo.com
bio:
OHO: an artistic collective of musicians and artists based in the
Baltimore, MD area who interweave sophisticated songwriting, slashing
lava-like guitarism, and muscular rhythms with stunning female vocals,
lush production, and state-of-the-art basement technology. The ensemble
has existed since 1973. Nowadays, 35 years and two radical
transformations later, they are a little more settled with an acid folk
underpinning and a womanly presence from the keyboards and vocals of
Jane Brody, Angela Lazaroni, Elise Major, and the warbling of Grace
Hearn, Mary O'Connor, Sue Ellen Sacco, and most recently Kelly G and
Liz Murphy, not to mention significant contributions from a couple
dozen OTHER PEOPLE. OHO offers rare proof that the unforgiving dragon
of rock, with its voracious appetite for youth and novelty, can be
slain by silver throats, silver hair and/or a bald pate.

artist: Gizmo
web address: www.myspace.com/gizmobmore
bio:
Gizmo has been a functional group for a five years now. We mysteriously
popped up out of the ground somewhere and just started playing music in
an old airplane hanger. The rest is history. Countless others have
attempted to steal our thunder but none have yet to stop us from from
infecting our music into the minds of others. With our combination of
extremely powerful and catchy riffs mixed with melodic soaring vocals,
what's not to fall in love with. Now is the time for a band of great
calibre to make it's entry into the ears of America. Listen in, you'll
want to hear more.
